Marian Green’s Wild Herb Walk

Ever wondered about the plants and herbs growing right by our pathways in this beautiful city?

As we walk to work in our local areas there are plenty of wild herbs growing that can be eaten or used for medicinal purposes.

Come and walk with Marian as she identifies wild plants and advises their seasonal nature and uses.

We will meet St George’s on Great George Street. The walk will be three hours ending with an optional one hour group lunch at The Folkhouse where we can further discuss our finds.

Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance.

Weekend Workshop: Arts in Mindfulness

Personal Odyssey : A Journey of Transformation through Meditation, Reflection & Creativity.

Take a transformative journey using arts therapy, mindfulness meditation, sensing community and the natural surroundings.

Step into the role that is YOU being the creator of becoming more and more fully YOU with vibrancy, natural confidence, depth and authenticity.

Facilitator Naomi West provides a safe and strong space through which your inner landscape can settle, move and transform naturally, offering your core being and creative heart back to you. Using grounding meditations you will connect with your deep self and travel through a creative process with a variety of art materials helping ‘the truest you’ find your creative flow.

Creative flow is something that runs through all of life and ourselves, but it can become held back at times for many reasons. The process and product of your creativity can reveal the unconscious: what we resist in ourselves and life, both the positive and negative may be found there, and understanding and embracing these over time can bring grounding, freedom and greater easeful presence in ourselves.

The Facilitator: Naomi West is a psychotherapist. She has trained and worked in integrative arts therapies since 2009 and runs retreats in Jersey, the UK and France. As well as her Masters in psychotherapy and extensive experience in the arts, Naomi’s draws upon her 10 year Zen meditation practice to offer gentle yet powerfully transformative retreats.

Friday evening 7pm-9pm then Saturday daytime 10am – 5.30pm
Costs are a special introductory price:

£40 for Friday and Saturday
(£10 optional taster Friday evening only but NB limited spaces and priority will be given to those taking part in both days).

No artistic or meditation experience needed.

Please contact Jo at Scarlett of the Fae Events to reserve your space.

Weekend Workshop London: Body Mirror System of Healing

Annick Brofman returns to the UK on April 29-30 for a Body Mirror System HEALING WEEKEND workshop.

The Body Mirror System of healing developed by Martin Brofman, is a synthesis of Western psychology and Eastern philosophies based on the chakras (energy centers found in the Hindu traditions). Because each of these chakras can be associated with certain parts of the consciousness as well as certain parts of the body, they allow us to read the body as a map of the consciousness within. Thus, tensions in the body are seen to reflect tensions in the consciousness, and the chakras can be used as a vehicle to understand the Body Mind Interface and its implications for healing.

For more information:

During the class, you will exchange 5 healings with other participants, using various techniques you have been taught, and at the completion of the class, you will be able to:

1. Understand and experience yourself as a Being of energy.

2. Feel and direct energy, and see energy (auras, chakras, thought forms.)

3. Understand the relationship between your body and your consciousness.

4. Understand how symptoms in the body reflect tensions in the consciousness.

5. Read the body as a map of consciousness, understanding the inner causes to outer symptoms.

6. Understand the chakras and their associations with specific parts of the consciousness and specific parts of the body.

7. Use various tools designed for healing (White Light, colours, thought forms.)

8. See the results of putting these techniques and tools to use.

If you live in London and would like to host a participant from abroad for the weekend, please contact Jo.

Tuition for the class is €300 or £245.

If you are repeating the weekend class of the Body Mirror System of Healing for the second or third time, or if you have already attended one Intensive Level 1, you will pay half price £122.50.

If you have attended at least 3 weekend classes (or one Intensive Level 1 plus one week end class) in the Body Mirror System, you can attend this class for free.

If you would like to enrol for this class, you will need to pay a deposit of £100.

The class starts both days at 9.30am and ends around 8.30pm on Saturday and around 7.30pm on Sunday. Registration starts on Saturday morning at 8.30am.

Fáilte (Welcome)

‘Scarlett of the Fae’ is born out of a love and curiosity of all things Fae and Otherwordly.

If your inquisitive spirit has led you here, then perhaps you have a tale to tell…or maybe you sense that there is more to this world than what we ordinarily perceive as ‘physical reality’.

Many individuals have experienced the Fae and remain silent, for fear of ridicule or misunderstanding.  Yet, fairy sightings continue to occur all over the world.

Our research project ‘Modern Fairy Sightings‘ collects and preserves these experiences for future generations and aims to break the resistant taboo around fairy sightings.
