Episode 41: Finding Fairies – From This World to the Next

A gentle story in this episode. A man from Maryland describes meeting an Otherworldly being, backstage at a music festival and tells of his son’s childhood fairy friend. We look at stories of encounters with tall other-than-human folk, who appear and disappear and we explore memories of childhood experiences.

Bonus Episode

This week’s bonus on Patreon is a recording of Evensong at Canterbury Cathedral. We arrived there just in time to be admitted to this choral service after walking the ley line from Chartham.

The book I was inspired by, The Ley Hunter’s Companion by Paul Devereux and Ian Thomson, suggests that the alignment of the cathedral possibly stands on a previous ancient megalith site.

  1. When o was about for years old I was playing in our front yard by myself. I decided to sit on our front step about 20 feet from the road.

To my left I noticed a man about four feet tall on a tricycle riding down the road. When he got in front of me he smiled and waved. I smiled and waved back. He then rode down the road and disappeared.

I went into the house to tell my mother what happened. She said we have no little people around here so you must have imagined it.

I am 76 years old and to this day I know this happened.

    1. Wow, this is wonderful to hear Lisa. Would love to chat to you about that sometime if you’d like to. Best wishes, Jo

  2. Too many unexplained occurrences have happened in my life. Always believed in the fairy world. So I search books & literature for similar experiences. It’s been fringing between the paranormal/ ufo’s. But I still haven’t found what I’ve experience – comes close., but differs.

    1. Yes, they are all so different but what seems to tie them together is a sense of mystery and the divine in some way. It’s hard to put it into words. Perhaps a sense of knowing? That’s what I’ve felt with my experiences so I can only go by my own perceptions. Would be fab to chat to you about your experiences anyway if you’d ever like to. Thanks so much for listening and commenting. Best wishes, Jo

  3. My 2 main experiences happened 10 and 6 months before our daughter died in a car accident. I feel that they left me with a certainty that there are worlds within this world that has made it easier to deal with losing her. I feel that in some way she and I are working together for the good of our whole world. Maybe meeting Prickle Leaf did something g similar for Brendan.

    1. Oh goodness. I’m so sorry to hear of the tragedy which befell your family. Unimaginable for most people. Yes, I can also imagine the solace that these mystical experiences can bring. You’re right about the Otherworlds being close by they are so close sometimes. I’ve lost loved ones and they are still close when I talk to them. Sometimes feel them walking right by my side. Thank you so much for commenting and for listening to the Podcast and I’m so glad that this particular episode resonated with you. Sending love 🙏🏻💚
